A multi-faceted, versatile musician, Matt began singing in his church choir at an early age and went on to sing and play trombone in multiple ensembles through college. He was both a featured vocalist for the UMass Minuteman Marching Band and a four year member of the UMass Chamber Choir while pursing his undergraduate degree in Music Education. He also performs in the annual Boar’s Head Festival at Trinity Church in Springfield. He is currently a band/chorus teacher, UMass teacher’s assistant, vocal instructor, and singer/songwriter while pursuing his graduate degree. As a music educator, Matt hopes to instill his passion for music in his students.

In his live performances Matt showcases his vocal range by performing a wide range of songs from his extensive catalog, from Elton John and James Taylor to Otis Redding and CCR.  Matt’s performances often include storytelling about his travels, and feature a sprinkling of his original music based on his experience as a Western Mass native and music teacher. He is often joined by several of his musical friends who bring an extra dash of harmony to a few songs during his shows.
